Our client, a pharmaceutical company located on the south shore of Montreal, is looking for a Vice President of Manufacturing.

Reporting to the President, you will be responsible for establishing and providing leadership in the management of the organization's manufacturing units.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a strategic plan to advance the company’s vision by setting up world-class manufacturing facilities.
• Develop a top-tier management team dedicated to manufacturing and ensuring that the operational goals are met.
• Execute and maintain financial, operational and compliance success of manufacturing facilities.
• Build and adhere to budgets for each of the functional areas for all the manufacturing facilities.
• Collaboratively work with the Executive Team on the establishment of new facilities and operations including laboratory, R&D and supply chain operations.
• Develop, maintain and drive key operational metrics, key performance indicators and standards to allow for the proactive management of all manufacturing sites.
• Maintain operations that comply with all local and international regulatory authorities.

Skills and qualifications :

Skills and qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant pharmaceutical science, or related field
• Minimum of 15-20+ years of industry experience with responsibilities in manufacturing
• Managing multiple sites is an asset
• Extensive experience with optimization of manufacturing processes, and oversight of production campaigns for generic, OTC products
• Successful management track record of building and managing teams across borders
• Previous experience with facing audits from regulatory authorities
• Excellent interpersonal verbal, written, and presentation skills in communication with internal and external stakeholders
