Job description :

As a strategic business partner and advisor to the organization, the Vice President, Information Systems is responsible for recommending and implementing technology strategy, developing an IT framework and governance, and implementing best business practices to support organizational growth. He/she provides leadership to the IT team.  Combining an innovative technological vision with strong business acumen and information assimilation skills, the successful candidate will be able to maneuver in three different technology environments.

Essential functions

  • Actively participate in the strategic development of the companies and propose ways to support and contribute to the business vision
  • Develop the information technology strategic plan to meet the business needs of the organizations and ensure its operationalization
  • Analyze the performance of technological tools in relation to the strategic orientations of the companies in order to recommend solutions to support the growth of the companies and implement them
  • Implement business intelligence to ensure the visibility of operations by the company's stakeholders through key indicators
  • Establish and maintain a security framework and IT governance ensuring best practices in terms of information risk management and business continuity

Skills and qualifications :

Education and/or experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, Master's degree in Business Administration (an asset)
  • 10+ years of experience in a senior position within a fast growing company
  • Ability to quickly identify, understand and anticipate heterogeneous business issues and propose appropriate solutions
  • Assertive leadership and ability to develop and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills in order to formulate clear recommendations
  • Motivated by the prospect of mentoring team members
  • Previous experience in public companies (an asset)
  • Bilingual (English and French)
