Job description :

The Vice President, Information Systems is employed by our client and provides services to its subsidiaries as required by the organization. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

As a strategic business partner and advisor to the organization, the Vice President, Information Systems is responsible for recommending and implementing technology strategy, developing an IT framework and governance, and implementing best business practices to support the growth of the organizations. She provides leadership to the IT team. 

Combining an innovative technological vision with strong business acumen and a strong ability to assimilate information, the successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate outstanding ability to maneuver within 3 different technology environments.

Main responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the strategic development of the companies and propose ways to support and contribute to the business vision
  • Develop the information technology strategic plan to meet the business needs of the organizations and ensure its operationalization.
  • Analyze the performance of technological tools in relation to the strategic orientations of the companies in order to recommend solutions to support the growth of the companies and implement them
  • Implement business intelligence to ensure the visibility of operations by the company's stakeholders through key indicators.
  • Establish and maintain a security framework and IT governance ensuring best practices in terms of information risk management and business continuity.

Skills and qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. An MBA will be considered an asset.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a management position within a company that has experienced strong growth. 
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to synthesize and make clear recommendations
  • Motivated by the prospect of mentoring team members
  • Previous experience in public companies will be considered an asset
  • Bilingual (English and French)
