Senior Vice-President - Global Sales

Reporting to the President, the SVP Global Sales provides leadership, direction, and resource stewardship to the sales functions across the organization. As the organization’s top sales leader, the SVP, Global Sales is accountable for overall sales performance, the profitable achievement of sales goals, and for aligning sales objectives with business strategy. The SVP Global Sales is an active member of the Executive Committee. This role is attached to the head office in Quebec City, but may also be performed remotely (Canada/USA/Europe).

Main responsabilities:

  • Align global & regional sales objectives with firm business strategy through active
  • participation in corporate strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales
  • resource planning, and budgeting.
  • Accountable for effective sales organization design, including sales job roles, sales channel design, and sales resource deployment.
  • Meet assigned targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives.
  • Partner with People & Culture to ensure proactive management and development of key sales talent, including establishing a sales force training plan focused on developing and reinforcing critical competencies.
  • Establish and govern the sales organizations performance management system. This includes establishing guiding sales organizational principles for managing performance, establishing and prioritizing critical performance measures for all sales jobs; overseeing the equitable allocation of organization objectives across all sales channels, markets, and employees; and ensuring all key sales and sales management employees are held accountable for assigned results.
  • Responsible for equitably assigning sales force target and ensuring the financial objectives are optimally allocated to all sales region and resources throughout the SIP program.
  • Ensures sales reports and other internal intelligence is provided to the sales organization through PBI. Develops new reporting tools and dashboard as needed. Coordinates with sales leadership and other stakeholders to lead efficient and accurate sales and KPI reporting initiatives.
  • Provide leadership to the sales organization’s management team, while fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, high-performance, and ethical behavior.
  • Lead sales organization change initiatives by continuously assessing the need for organizational change, championing change initiatives, and removing obstacles impeding constructive organizational change.
  • Provide leadership to core sales support functions including sales operations, technical & after sales.
  • Partner with the SVP, Innovation to ensure proactive collaboration between the product, applications, marketing and sales team.

Skills and qualifications :

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in a B2B, technology-driven environment (electronics,
  • equipment, software);
  • Minimum of 8 years managing global teams;
  • Business or Engineering degree or equivalent;
  • Bilingual English/French (knowledge of other languages is an asset).
