Our customer is a leading manufacturer, importer and distributor of high quality European foods. Their products can be found across the country in all major supermarkets and locally, delicatessens, ethnic markets, hotels, restaurants and the best dining establishments.
Over the years, our customer has expanded with distribution networks in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Edmonton.
We are currently looking for an experienced General Manager for Quebec in the Montreal branch.
Under the supervision of the President and Vice President of Sales, the Quebec DG manages day-to-day operations and has strong sales skills.
This position will improve efficiency in areas of the company that directly affect internal operations and service levels to external customers and who are responsible for Sales Growth in the Province of Quebec.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for achieving the quarterly targets and targets of the commercial branch
- Implementing improvements to generate growth for the branch as well as efficiency and effectiveness improvements that have a positive impact on the regional P & L
- Responsible for the continued development of all branch staff identifying training needs and developing the skills required
- Responsible for working closely with national retail sales and food service managers in participating, planning, communicating and implementing promotional activities, i.e. special product promotions, product information and product launches for the Quebec market
- Oversee and direct warehouse and delivery teams to reduce inventory loss and ensure efficient preparation and delivery of operations
- Responsible for compliance and enforcement of established policies and procedures
- Responsible for assisting national and imported product planning planning staff
- Security and health and safety of employees, customers and site visitors
- Examine all non-compliant products or ingredients with the person in charge 'quality assurance
Skills and qualifications :
- Bilingual (English and French)
- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a consumer goods environment
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in national and / or regional key accounts
- Professional experience with Costco is a major asset.
