Job description :

Reporting to the President and COO, the sales and marketing Vice-President is responsible for the success of the division of a renowned pharmaceutical company.   You will lead the national marketing and sales team responsible for the commercialization of the company's portfolios.  
You will be responsible for developing business strategies, participating in developing and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders.  You will work closely with the PSP and Market access team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve/exceed sales objectives established by the company
  • Participate in the development of the division's business strategy, in collaboration with the management team
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with healthcare professionals and opinion leaders
  • Contribute to the development of regional and national marketing tools
  • Establish the strategic plan for the division and divisional products
  • Actively participate in national new product launches
  • Evaluate future additions to the portfolio in collaboration with the various departments
  • Work closely with the patient support and market access team

Skills and qualifications :

  • University degree in science BSc - preferred
  • 10+ years experience in the biologics market as a team/performance manager
  • Experience in the Canadian biosimilars market - an asset 
  • Experience with specialty product sales teams
  • Experience with specialty products in rheumatology, gastroenterology, dermatology - an asset  

Required Skills

  • Thorough knowledge of the marketing of biologics in Canada
  • Knowledge of reimbursement mechanisms and patient programs is an asset
  • Demonstrated performance in differentiating oneself from the competition 
  • Strong business acumen and scientific knowledge
  • Exemplary sales and marketing team leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to develop/work with a multifunctional approach
  • Bilingual - French and English - Excellent oral and written skills
  • Strategic approach and ability to make decisions considering short and long term impacts
  • Ensure that the team adopts an ethical approach and respects the rules that govern the industry.
