Job description :

The role of the Financial Controller will be to plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate financial and accounting services operations. He or she will develop and implement the institution's financial systems and procedures. He or she will set performance standards and prepare various financial reports for senior management. The ideal candidate will have to complete quality projects within the required timeframe, while maintaining a critical, open and professional mind in order to identify value-added recommendations.

Description of main responsibilities

  • Planning and review of year-end files
  • Interaction and regular tax implications
  • Prepares or coordinates the preparation of monthly financial statements, summary statements and other accounting analysis and financial management reports
  • Coordinate the financial planning and budgeting process, analyze and correct forecasts
  • Supervision and training of team members

Skills and qualifications :

Education and / or experience

  • BAC in Accounting, CA and CPA (required)
  • +7 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience of the complete accounting cycle in a public company
  • Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)
  • Experience in team management
  • Professional oral and written bilingualism (French and English)
