Job description :

Our client is a company carrying out numerous heavy industrial projects and activites, specializing in the exploitation of natural resources, handling, and transportation while developing its assets located in the Sept-Îles region.

We are currently looking for an experienced Director of Finance and Administration to establish this region.

Under the supervision of the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Finance and Administration is responsible for the administrative and financial management of the company. It controls the proper execution of the strategy and procedures defined with the general management and coordinates the services for which it is responsible.

 

Responsibilities

  • Define the main orientations of the control systems
  • Put in place administrative management procedures and activity monitoring
  • Ensure compliance with procedures
  • Guarantee the reliability of accounts and financial documents in accordance with the legislation
  • Supervise the consolidation of financial data
  • Develop the company's budget and plan in accordance with the general management's choices
  • Develop funding plans and validate budgets and monitor cash flow situation
  • Define and follow the credit policy
  • Manage the furniture and real estate heritage
  • Supervise personnel administration, recruitment, career management, and training
  • Manage relations with the union and other relevant bodies
  • Ensure the proper implementation of the new management tools, Maximo type
  • Supervise the Purchasing department
  • Supervise, validate internal audit assignments

Skills and qualifications :

 

Education and / or experience

  • Bachelor's degree in relation to the responsibilities of the position
  • Ten (10) years of experience (business, finance or administrative management)
  • CPA required

 

Specific skills

  • Bilingualism (French and English)
  • Experience in multidisciplinary team management
  • Experience in the mining and handling sector
  • ERP system experience
  • Knowledge of the Office Suite
