Our client is a multinational company headquartered in Europe and with plants in Europe, Canada, Mexico, and China. The organization offers industry leading innovation and technology at a global level across all of its operations. They are currently on the hunt for a CEO for their manufacturing facility based here in the Greater Toronto Area. 

The ideal candidate for this role is experienced, coming from the Tier 1 and/or OEM automotive manufacturing sector, and will lead and supervise all strategic and business-related aspects of the company. As first in command in the company, this role is responsible in giving the proper strategic directions/priorities as well as working a vision for success for the Toronto based operation. The CEO MUST be a leader; a team builder inspiring trust and credibility in the team through his/her behaviour and leadership.

Responsibilities for this role include but aren’t limited to:

  • Leading with a business mind set and able to see the “big picture” in a variety of settings
  • As CEO, will take actions to enhance the company’s cash flow while keeping the human factor in perspective
  • Drive the company’s development and guide it towards long term success
  • Lead and motivate the advocated employee engagement and develop a high performing managerial team (team builder) 
  • Oversee all operations and business activity to ensure the organization produces the desired results
  • Review financial and non-financial reports to devise solutions for improvement
  • Build trusted relationships with key automotive customers and suppliers

Skills and qualifications :

  • Proven CEO experience in other managerial positions (a strong preference will be given to those with automotive manufacturing experience)
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles
  • Familiarity with diverse business functions such as sales, marketing, operations, finance etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices 
  • An entrepreneurial mind set with outstanding organizational and leadership skills
  • Analytical abilities and root cause analysis skills.
