Senior Director, Marketing Strategy and Communications

Job description :

Reporting to the Vice President Client Experience, Marketing Strategy and Communications, you will be responsible for a diverse team of professionals. You will initiate and direct communications, branding and media strategies for the firm. You will initiate change and promote continuous rethinking of communications activities. You will act as an expert in the firm's marketing activities by supporting business development for institutional and private clients.

Main responsabilities

  • Work closely with the Vice President to develop the marketing and communications strategy for the firm's outreach.
  • Develop innovative communications strategies and evolve initiatives from a marketing perspective.
  • Lead the development of the brand’s image, advertising campaigns and marketing initiatives to the target audience.
  • Oversee the writer in planning various product content, investment strategies and market events.
  • Be responsible for the strategy and content of our social networks.
  • Be responsible for the design and content of the website.
  • Manage media relations.
  • Provide ongoing positive leadership to the team (hiring, performance evaluation, professional development, etc.) with a focus on coaching, mentoring and ongoing performance.

Skills and qualifications :

Education and/or experience 

  • University degree in business administration, communications and/or marketing.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in a similar position in marketing, communications, ideally in a financial industry.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in personnel management.
  • Wealth of experience in developing and implementing communication strategies.
  • Good knowledge of the web, digital marketing and social networks.
  • Keen interest and understanding of the investment industry and sustainable investing (ESG, stewardship, impact investing).
  • Exceptional communication skills and fluency in French and English.
  • Strong client service orientation.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of work in a dynamic environment with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Initiative, leadership and resourcefulness.
  • Strong ability to work as a team and collaborate with different stakeholders in multi-site environments.
