Job description :

Our client, a non-profit community organization, is currently looking for a leader to implement its strategic plan to create an integrated center for victims of sexual violence in the Montérégie. This person will have the mandate to promote and ensure the positioning of the organization in collaboration with the various partners working with our clientele. He or she will also be responsible for updating the organization's mission, which is to offer free support and psychotherapy services to victims of sexual violence (adults, adolescents, children) in the Montérégie region.

 

Description of main responsibilities

Strategic Vision and Governance 

  • Participate, with the Board of Directors, in the development of the vision and strategic directions and ensure their implementation.
  • Build, through leadership, a dynamic, motivated team, mobilized around the major strategic objectives with a focus on results.
  • Plan and organize Board meetings and support Board members.

Operations Management Strategies 

  • Based on the adopted strategic orientations, establish an annual action plan and ensure the coordination and evaluation of its implementation.
  • Develop a prioritization and implementation plan for the services under his/her direction in order to maintain or improve their level of quality and efficiency, taking into account the organization's mission and strategic directions.
  • Ensure the development and updating of an internal and external communication plan in accordance with the organization's orientations.

Business Development 

  • Create and ensure a solid network of financial and service partners in order to maximize visibility and notoriety and maintain constructive partnerships and business relationships.
  • Manage all of the organization's activities and ensure sound financial management.
  • To seek diversified sources of recurrent financing in order to increase the funds available to the organization and to take steps to raise the funds necessary for the organization's operations.
  • Maintain relations with the various levels of government in order to increase awareness of the mission and to ensure funding from the various departments involved.

Planning and management of human and financial resources 

  • Directs, plans and controls the management of the organization's human and financial resources.
  • Ensure the implementation and updating of policies, rules and procedures necessary for the management of human resources in accordance with the relevant laws.
  • Ensures the adoption of and adherence to sound budget tracking, bookkeeping and accounting rules and procedures, as well as compliance with relevant tax and withholding laws.
  • Administers the organization's funds in light of the approved budget and controls the organization's cash flow.

Skills and qualifications :

Education and/or experience

  • Graduate degree in Administration/Organizational of the Development/Management.
  • University degree in a psychosocial field (an asset).
  • 5 + years of professional experience in a senior management position.
  • Experience in human and financial resource management and working with a Board of Directors.

  • Ability to work within a complex and innovative organizational framework dealing with the justice, health and social services and community networks.
  • Demonstrate significant accomplishments in relation to the challenges of the position.
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and functional English.
