Our client is a forward moving consulting firm with 50 years of measured success in offering current and new solutions to globally based organizations in need of process improvement across the manufacturing and supply chain functions of their businesses. As they continue to grow, so too does their team. The company is now on the search for a Business Development Executive who will continue to develop their customer base covering the US Pacific coast of the United States into the Midwest. This role will focus on selling in solutions related to systems upgrades, process improvement, function deployment, continuous flow manufacturing, and integrated supply chain management.

Essential functions:

As the Business Development Executive this role will lead all aspects of the sales cycle; demonstrating proven closing skills and extensive experience selling intangible services through direct presentations to C-level executives. Because of this, you must have highly developed interpersonal skills, be driven to excellence, and motivated to be successful. The role will be expected to develop new business as well as manage an existing customer base – participating in annual business plan development and executing timely business reviews and feasibility studies with all clients in the assigned region.

The ideal candidate for this role brings the following attributes:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the supply chain function and how it relates to a company’s bottom line; through process improvement, value stream mapping, and other contemporary consulting strategies.
  • Understanding of how technical and tactical elements of large ticket “process improvement initiatives” are sold.
  • Understanding of related supply chain, product development, and manufacturing operations.
  • Solid demonstration of competency and excellence at working with C-level executives (not necessarily from the business development domain).
  • Ideally situated close to a major airport as this role requires a minimum of 50% travel across the eastern portion of the United States.
  • Advanced computer skills; MS Office Suite/MS Project/Visio/Go-to-Meeting and CRM experience.
